Day 1

Arrival in the afternoon to Rome airport and welcome by our tour escort who will await the group with a personalized sign board. Departure by coach towards Rome and accommodation at our 3* hotel in Rome. Welcome drink and overnight.

Day 2

Breakfast and appointment with our local guide in the lobby of the hotel and then departure by coach for our guided visit of Rome. During the morning we will visit the Basilica of St. Maria Maggiore - Via Merulana - The Holy Stairs  - The Basilica of St. John's in Laterano  - Appian Way and Circus Maximus. We shall then have some time at leisure for lunch. After lunch we shall continue our guided visit with Piazza Venezia  - The Capitol Square  - View of Roman Forum - Historical Maps - Church of San Pietro in Vincoli with Michelangelo's statue of Moses - Colosseum - Arch of Costantine - Arch of Titus - The Pyramid of Caius Cestiu.

At the end of this long day, we shall return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Breakfast and appointment with our local guide in the lobby of the hotel and then departure by coach for our guided visit of Rome. Today we will visit Castel S. Angelo - The Vatican Museums (entrance fees not included)

- The Tapestry Gallery - The Raphael Rooms - The Sistine Chapel. At the end of this visit, we will have time at leisure at the Vatican for lunch. After lunch, we shall continue our guided visit with Trevi fountain, Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori and the Pantheon.

At the end of the day, return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Breakfast and appointment with our tour escort and then departure by coach for our next destination, San Giovanni Rotondo.  San Giovanni Rotondo was the home of Saint Pio of Pietrelcinafrom July 28, 1916until his death on September 23, 1968. The Padre Pio Pilgrimage Churchwas built in devotion to the saint, dedicated on July 1, 2004. The city is renowned for his important hospital and medical research center Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza(Home for the Relief of the Suffering) founded by Saint Pio of Pietrelcina

Accomodation at our hotel. Day at leisure and overnight.

Day 5

Breakfast and day at leisure in San Giovanni Rotondo. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Breakfast and appointment with our tour escort and then departure by coach for our next destination,  Assisi. While driving towards Assisi, we shall stop off in Lanciano and Loreto for a quick guided visit of  both these towns, famous for their miraculous Madonna’s.

After the stops at Lanciano and Loreto, we shall then finally arrive to Assisi. The town of San Francesco.

Accommodation at our hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 7

Breakfast and appointment with our tour escort and local guide and departure for the half day guided visit of the town of Assisi.

The Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi(St. Francis) is a World Heritage Site. The Franciscan monastery, il Sacro Convento, and the lower and upper church (Basilica inferiore e superiore) of St Francis were begun immediately after his canonizationin 1228, and completed 1253. The lower church has frescosby renowned late-medieval artistsCimabueand Giotto; in the Upper church are frescos of scenes in the life of St. Francis by Giotto and his circle. The Basilica was badly damaged by the earthquake of September 26, 1997. Part of the vault collapsed, killing four people inside the church and carrying with it a fresco by Cimabue. The edifice and was closed for two years for restoration.

Day 8

Breakfast and appointment with our tour escort and coach and departure towards Rome airport.
